Here is who we are: We are local Professional Breeders through out the state who are looking to better ourselves. Through education, seminars and conventions. We are open to many small backyard breeders and large operations with many kinds of breeds. Some do dogs, cats and exotics and some do just dogs.

We meet once a month at a good restuarant and we talk about common problems we are seeing in our kennels. We discuss many of the up and coming legistlative issues and licensing that we are required to have. Many of us don't have that licensings!

We bring in guest speakers who inform us of better ways of doing things and whats working. We all have had problems with fleas and heart disease. Wondered many times if our cleaning of the kennel is really getting it as clean as we need to fight the common diseases. Wouldn't it be nice to learn from others mistakes so we don't have to make them too!

When we get together as friends, its a really good time chatting about our dogs and pets. We all heard those words  I WISH YOU DIDN"T HAVE THAT DOG KENNEL WE COULD............  They don't understand, we love our animals and enjoy our work of taking care of them. What better job is filled with love and kisses.

Are you tired of people calling you a puppy mill behind your back? Most people don't know what a puppy mill is! We as breeders are referred to as puppy mills because the public not aware we are not in it for the money. We do this because we love our pets and want to further our love and help others to love pets.

Did you know most housholds have at least 2 dogs and a few other kinds of pets?  Most people get pets cause their lonely! We give them a wonderful pet to love and take care of. These pets often become children to to the childless. Our pets help people in later years become great real parents to their children.

Most of our breeders microchip their dogs, because we do care about where and what happens to that puppy we sell. As a member you get a discount with AVID. A good portion of us have contracts that go with every sale of a puppy offering health guarentees & buy back policys. I myself have a lifetime of question answering to all my new homes.

LPBA does referal for stud service, puppies and many people want a good quality dog that bred because its 2 good (AKC standard) dogs that are making a better breed of dogs. We are professionals, been breeding a long time and know what the public wants in a puppy. We give them what they ask for. Our member are proud to list in their ads their LPBA members cause it means quality.

If your just throwing together 2 dogs to make puppies to sell your not what we want in our group!!!!  We love and care as if they are our children till they leave us to go to you!!! As we take our own children to the doctor we do take our dogs to the vet. and we are on a first name basis with our vets. Its us the vets recommend.

To join its $35.00 and we met every 2nd Thursday of the month. This may change due to all the new chapters of LPBA starting around louisiana. Each chapter picks the day best for them. This is the head office here in Lafayette and i will be happy to help you in anyway i can!
